What do I do with my new scripts – Ace movie producer Ivan Quashigah mourns the late Vincent McCauley

Ace Ghanaian movie producer cum director, Ivan Quashigah has rendered a heartfelt message to the late Vincent McCauley.

The latter died on Monday, January 15, 2024.

In a post cited on Facebook, the YOLO and Things We Do For Love mastermind, spelled out his shock and distraught at the actor’s passing which took social media by storm in the wee hours of yesterday.

Mr. Quashigah in his message recalled the late actor’s talent and contribution to his TV classic Things We Do for Love series in which he starred as Max.

The series which aired in the late 90s highlighted the importance of sexual education and abstainance amongst the recent day youth.

“You had to miss the filming of some scenes and I was left to find a way out. The gentleman you were, you made it a point to come to the office to personally apologize.

Unfortunately, I did not notice the severity of your condition because as usual, you gave us your signature handshake that almost removed our arms from our bodies,” his post read.

Mr. Quashigah lamented the vacuum the late actor’s demise has created in the shoot of his ongoing series YOLO.

The TV series YOLO which has been the sequel of the masterclass Things We Do for Love featured the late actor as a grown-up Max and a father is already in its seventh season.

Last year, Marleen (Lois) who played alongside the late actor as a cousin passed on after a short illness.

“Hmmm. Vincent! What do I do with the new scripts? This cuts really deep!… Lord, teach us how to number our days and to recognize how few they are and help us to spend them as we should. Your word says in all things we should give thanks, but this really, really hurts. Rest in Peace Nephew,” Mr. Quashigah added.

Vincent McCauley appeared in several Ghanaian adverts and movies including Inspector Bediako in which he played alongside the late Ekow Blankson.

He was the administrator of Soul Clinic International School in Accra and the cause of his death is yet to be made public.
