Bawumia Has Changed The Political Dynamics In The North- Titus Glover

Former Lawmaker and Deputy Minister of Trade, Daniel Titus Glover says, Bawumia has changed the political dynamics in the Northern regions since he entered politics.

He says, Bawumia was elected to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) base on his competencies and not the mere fact that he is from the North.

“We voted for Dr Bawumia not because he is from the North but because he has the competencies and capacities to break the eight for us. The involvement of Dr Bawumia in Ghana’s geopolitics has shifted the politics of the North.

“NDC used to have huge numbers in the North before 2008 when Dr. Bawumia joined the party. Today, the Northern votes have been divided because Dr Bawumia will represent the political party they used to say was an Akan party.” He added

According to Former Member of Parliament, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will help divide the votes in the Northern Regions

“Mahama, as of now, is not a happy man. He knows that the Northern votes is going to be divided. The NPP has presented a Northern flagbearer and that will mean that the Northern votes will be split between the two political parties unlike previously when they made huge numbers from the northern part of the country,” he said.

Titus Glover, who spoke on Accra-based United Television, indicated that the NDC lives in fear because what hitherto used to be their World Bank will suffer because the NPP flagbearer will divide the votes.
