My 16 Year-Old Son Was Not Part Of The Ejura Protest, But He Was Shot And His Leg Has Being Amputated- Mother Cries

According to reports, a 16-year old boy identified to be Awal Misbawu has had his leg amputated after he was shot during the protest at Ejura.
The mother of Awal Misbawu speaking with the media on Monday 5th July 2021, disclosed that his son was not part of those protesting but was shot.
According to her, her son was only playing around the place where the protest was happening and when the military came in, he was forced to run for his life, and in the process of running, he was shot in the leg.
The mother explained that, his son was part four persons who sustained gunshot wounds after two people were killed when some unidentified soldiers opened fire on the protesters in Ejura.
She disclosed that, immediately she heard that her son was shot, she took her to the St. John of God Hospital at Duayaw-Nkwanta, but was told to send his child to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where the leg was amputated.
“So the child was crying so painfully and we had to call on our chief who in turn also called a doctor for us and the child was admitted. So he [Doctor] informed us that the leg cannot be worked on so he has to be amputated. So that has been done and my son is in pain right now. He was not part of those protesting but he was shot and is only 16 years of age”, she indicated
